How to Maintain & Re-Coat Timber Decks

To achieve a lifetime performance for your timber deck, it is vital that the protective coating is intact. Regular simple maintenance is the key and a single reapplication is recommended every 12 to 24 months, depending on the environment and the degree of weathering the deck is exposed to.

Re-application is essential but simple to ensure this regular inspection and simple cleaning are all that is required. Using whichever topcoat that was applied last, reapplied two coats of either Sikkens Cetol HLSe, Sikkens Cetol Deck, Sikkens Cetol Deck Slip Resistant or Sikkens Cetol BL X Pro.

Allow 24 hours between applications except for Sikkens Cetol BL X Pro where only two hours is required.
